Covers slightly faded, inside the dj, with the latter being slightly worn, in places, but both are VG, otherwise, and the dj is protected by a clear plastic cover, now. ; A bright solid, clean, marking-free copy, in the original cloth coers, and dj, with the author's inscription to "The Wards" on the front endpaper, also--presumably John W. Ward, of Princeton, and his wife; they were Princeton colleagues, for a while, before Ward became President of Amherst College ; tall 8vo 9" - 10" t; 760, vi pages; Presented to "The Wards" (Prof. John Ward, also of Princeton? ) by the author. This copy was exposed to dampness, however, unfortunately, and the green of the cover is faded, slightly, at the bottom, slightly staining a few front edges of the text, at the bottom; else quite a good copy. DJ slightly worn, around edges, else good plus. ; Signed by Author
